Delighftul frame of original art -- signed by its creator, the great movie animator Maurice Noble -- used in the making of the 1966 Chuck Jones-directed animated TV version of the Dr. Seuss classic about the hum-buggy ghoul (the malevolent voice of Boris Karloff as the Grinch) who plots to steal the real Christmas from the people of Whoville. This storyboard artwork was combined with others like it to tell the story to everybody associated with the production. The 6x6.5" frame within gray borders depicts the Grinch and his dog Max in a sleigh against a wintry backdrop. Written in pencil beneath the image is, "Mad dash down the steep slope -- Max looks back", written by Noble (who also animated Disney's "Dumbo" and "Snow White") who attached his name to the right, beside the familiar lion logo of the MGM Studios. Bottom is printed "M.G.M. Animation/Visual Arts." For animation buffs, this is a piece bursting with goodies. NRMT.
