One of the Basketball Association of America's (later the NBA) "Original 11", the Capitols racked up the best record (49-11) that first year and lost in 6 to the Minneapolis Lakers in '48-'49 finals, before folding before the end of the 1950-51 season. 8x10 red and white broadside from Baltimore's famous Globe Poster Corp. promotes the team's games at Uline Arena. Top reads "Pro-Basketball" and urges fans to "See your Federal Recreation Committee Representative for discounts." NRMT with crisp corners and just a hint of browming along the unflawed edges. Nice curio of the times and the early NBA.
