President Franklin Roosevelt launched an alphabet soup of programs that included the Work Projects Administration to dig the country out of the Depression. This 3-by 2-foot red, white and blue-striped aluminum shows wear which gives it the character of a piece of WPA art unto itself. The back is stenciled with the same lettering on the front. A wonderful piece of American art.
