Mickey Mantle had a very ironic career. During the '50's he was a top shelf superstar, winning World Series', MVP's, etc. but never becoming a true fan favorite in the bronx. At the turn of the decade, his skills and injuries started to slow him down but with the season of '61 he became a full fledged matinee idol and remained so throughout the 1960's. He's shown here on a card graded Mint 9 by PSA. The cards features two photos that are totally pristine - both ultra clear and not a print speck to be found. It's well centered with a very faint tilt cut and 3 of the four corners are completelyMint with only the lower right showing a faint but discernable nick. This is a very pleasing card with tons of gloss!
