Aladdin Industry's famed metal dome lunchboxes were introduced in 1950 with a Hopalong Cassidy image and became so popular with schoolkids that the American Thermos Bottle challenged its turf with a line of Roy Rogers boxes. The lunchbox war was thus on, and would rage for decades. This incredible lot of appox. 30 dome boxes include a very rare early Roy Rogers-Dale Evans "Chow Wagon" box but also reflects expanding themes and non-metal, embossed and "3D" surfaces in later years.
