Early baseball board game features a large photo of New York Giants Hall of Fame pitcher Christy Mathewson. "Big Six Baseball" was released in 1922. The board and spinner are still intact and in working order. The playing field (16x23") shows all nine fielders, a scoreboard and both team dugouts. Front cover displays Mathewson pitching while the back includes instructions and shows "Matty" in his Giants uniform. The game is "mathematically figured and scientifically brought into form, making it possible to play Real Base Ball in places other than the field." This is a great early example of a baseball board game and a beautiful piece of old Mathewson memorabilia. EX+.
