Yankees gray road flannel worn in 1946 by pitcher Tiny Bonham, the first successful forkball pitcher who was a fixture in the Yankee rotation from 1940-46. As the jersey shows, "Tiny" clearly was an antonym for the hulking 6-foot-3, 215-pounder whose given name was Ernie. The billowing jersey has the Wilson tag with size 48 on the inside collar and "23" written in black ink. "New York" is written in navy across the front of this classic Yankees jersey. Number "23" is on the back although the "2" is clearly changed by the team for Bonham as the tiny holes where the prior number was are still present. Classic flannel shows nice game use.
