Rarely do we get the privelage of such raw unadulterated insite into the personal lives of our heroes. Moving handwritten letter by Jackie Robinson to Yankee Elston Howard written on Robinson's official stationary as "Special Assistant to the Governor for Community Affairs" and dating circa 1968. In the letter, Robinson thanks Howard and his wife for their concern about Jackie Jr.'s drug addiction and describes the difficulties his family experienced during that time. Written in clear blue pen and in Robinson's own neat handwriting. Includes a handsome 8x10" family portrait of Robinson with his wife and three children. Letter with original maimling folds, o/w NRMT.
