In a 2-page typed letter addressed to Joe Jackson, dated May 9, 1922 from Cannon, Bancroft & Waldron Attorneys at Law, discussed is Shoeless Joe's position with regards to settling his outstanding contract with the Chicago White Sox and an offer to represent him. Letter reads in part: "At the request of Oscar Felsch I am writing you concerning a cause of action which in my opinion you have against the Chicago American League Baseball Club, for back salary under a written and special contract. I represent Mr. Felsch in his case against Comiskey and the [White Sox] which is pending in this County... your claims against the [White Sox] are the same as Felsch, with the additional claim of damages for breach of contract." Letter with original mailing folds, otherwise Excellent. Signed in black fountain ink by Raymond Cannon (one of the partners in the firm).
