A splendid, NRMT-MT baseball, signed by the 1954 Cleveland Indians at the 1954 World Series. The Indians faced the New York Giants in one of the most memorable World Series in history, largely because of Willie Mays' amazing catch in Game 1 at the Polo Grounds. This was perhaps the most famous catch in baseball history, denying Vic Wertz of his 462-foot drive into deep centerfield in the 8th inning with the score tied at 2 apiece. Pristine OAL (Harridge) ball boasts 31 total blue ink signatures including Lemon, Wertz, Lopez, Hegan, Harder, Feller & Rosen. Also included: a scorecard from the Tribe's 111th victory that season, over the Tigers on 9/25/54. Scorecard is NRMT with the boxscore filled in.
