10 karat Herf Jones ring was awarded following the Georgia Southern University Eagles Division 1-AA championship win of 1986. Top of the size 11.5 ring is adorned with two diamonds flanking a blue enameled number, "1". surrounding text in raised block lettering reads, "Georgia Southern, National Champions, 1986." Left shank is the name, "Spurgeon" on banner with number "55" below and eagle in flight. Opposite shank is the NCAA emblem and "National Collegiate Championship" on banner below. Inside of the band is engraved, "PAT" and stamped "HJ 10K." Excellent condition.
