Full-sized movie posters from two "classics" any Yankee collector should have up on his den wall. The posters celebrate the wonders of "Safe At Home" (1962) starring Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris in their greatest roles ever -- a low-budget B-movie co-starring William "Fred Mertz" Frawley -- and "The Babe Ruth Story" (1948) starring William Bendix, a big-budget Hollywood biopic co-starring Claire Trevor that today is an unintentional comedy masterpiece memorable for Bendix's clay nose and insipid dialogue (even the real Babe walked out at the premiere). "Safe At Home" poster is 27 x 40" and shows the "M&M boys" back to back with the kid they "set straight" in between. VG with some inevitable wear damage including staining on the lower edges and separations at the weak points of a few folds. "Babe Ruth" poster is also 27 x 40" but is linen backed and thus in far better condition. VG-EX with only a scattering of minor specks and discoloration. Celebrate Yankee history with a few laughs.
