Frederick Foto is considered one of the scarcest of all PCL issues with barely a sample card to be found in even the most comprehensive collections. There was definitely more than one printing of this set because the player “Wirts” is shown in the same pose on two identical cards in this group but is from different teams, Dallas and the other being Chicago. Offered is a collection of (53) cards. (5) Cards have been graded by SGC and the balance have been pre-screened SGC. The condition breaks down as follows: (5) cards are graded SGC 40 VG: Cook-Sac., Mails-Clev., Miller-Oak., Penner-Sac., and Ryan-Sac. (6) Grade as GD: Kuntz, Orr, Penner, Pinelli, and Rose (2). (13) Grade as FR: Cook, Fittery, Griffith, Hollocher, Kamm, Mails, McGaffigan, Niehaus, Orr, Rodgers, Ryan, Wirts (2). (12) Grade as PR: Cranfield, Elliot, Faeth, Mails (2 different poses), Middleton, Niehaus, Pick, Read, Schang, and Sheehan (2). (16) Cards show evidence of trimming and otherwise average PR to GD: Alexander, Caveny, Compton, Cook, Fittery, Kopp, Kuntz, Mails (2), Orr, Paskert, Penner, Prough, Ryan, Sheehan, and Yelle. (1) Other card is GD but the name is worn off. (53) Cards total from this impossible to find PCL issue. The Babe Ruth card from this issue is offered in a separate lot.
