Lifted from the hollowed grounds of Yankee Stadium following the Bombers Game Five victory over the Diamondbacks during the 2001 World Series, we offer this, “Original Hollywood Base”. Its top is screened with the colorful, “World Series 2001” logo while along the sides three of the four decorative plates remain (missing Yankees). The entire “first” base is covered in field dirt and other remnants indicating significant use. The gold stamped Rawlings Official World Series (Selig) baseball was used in play during the final game of that see-saw series and displays all expected use along with the blue ink signature of second baseman Craig Counsell. Complete with authenticating hologram from Major League Baseball.
