One of the most interesting collections of images (negs) we have ever offered. Fascinating introspection into the highs and lows of the 1940s and 1950s. These are the true embodiment of the special place Ebbets Field was and what is was to be a Dodger fan. 1) 1946 Playoff Game v. St. Louis Cardinals. Eight wonderful images of the dejected Dodger fans at Ebbets. Hope has faded which is the perfect look for the hapless Dodger fan. 2) Three from the 1952 World Series with fans crazy for the Dodgers versus the Yankees. 3) 1951 Musical Appreciation Night. Nine from an open house at Ebbets for all those fans with a musical instrument making it one giant Sym-Phony. 4) Two fabulous 1940 negs of the Sym-Phony (then the Brooklyn Rooters Band) with big bass drum most prominent. All are 4x5”.
