Stunning original negatives from quite possibly the most famous event in baseball history. Report front and center to a truly exciting moment preserved forever in time. Includes: 1) Thomson leaps onto home plate after scoring the run that give the Giants the pennant. His team is about to mob him in one of the finest images in baseball history. 2) Newcombe mounts the steps at the back of the Polo Grounds as he leaves game after being shelled by the Giants in the 9th. Rumbling fans see the writing on the wall. 3) Stunned Dodgers walk off the field as Thomson homer crushes their World Series hopes. The three wise men are shown: Jackie Robinson, Gil Hodges and of course Ralph Branca. 4) Bobby Thomson caught off first on single in the 2nd while Jackie Robinson points to first base. 5) Thomson makes the catch that closes out the Dodgers in the first inning. 6) Al Dark runs off the fields with huge smile after scoring one of the Thomson runs in the 9th.
