This treasured keepsake from the legendary career of the greatest switch hitter in history came directly from the Mantle family. Mantle played 262 games at first base for the New York Yankees in the last 2 years of his Hall of Fame career. This Spalding Super-Trapper shows great, thorough use from those 2 seasons. It is marked, “The Digger”, pro model 42-405 with radial laced heel, control-action back, and T-Bar web. Well broken in and marked with “Mickey Mantle” printed in faded black marker on the thumb. Also on the thumb is a much darker signature from old number 7, signed at some point after the glove was used. Original tag from that sale is still attached to the glove. LOA from Mickey Mantle auction.
