A graphic and disturbing group of twenty 3.5"x2.5" photographs likely taken by an America serviceman very shortly after the liberation of Dachau on April 29, 1945. The collection contains images of piled corpses, likely executed by the SS prior to liberation, cremation pits, and mass grave sites. Minor defects to margins, otherwise very good condition. Also included is a group of 40 black & white photos (2.5"x4") taken throughout Germany and Paris during 1944-45, this assortment includes shots of Jewish prisoners in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp, the site where Anne Frank was held and eventually died. Other photos include different parts of Rheine, Bremen, Cleve, Lubeck, & Hamberg, including German battleships and U-boats, as well as several French landmarks. EX-MT condition.
