An astounding pair of the very popular, very scarce 1971 Topps 6th series, high number proof sheets. Comprised mostly of short prints the two sheets measure 132 cards and 72 cards respectively. The 132-card sheet is blank backed and stamped with the “Topps Archive NYC Auction Stamp” on verso. The surface of the smaller specimen layered with a glossy plastic covering (for production). Both being final proofs neither have variations of any kind and exist exactly as they would later be sold. Additionally each displays bold color and strong images, overall EX to EX-MT. 1971 contains one of the toughest high number series and is one of the most popular sets of the past 40 years.
