Larry Bird Senior Year 1974 Springs Valley High School, French Lick, IN. Only 83 people in Larry's Senior class makes this one of the more difficult books for modern era superstars! Larry is literally all over this book as he even appears on the cover in a nice "in action" basketball shot. This book is in excellent condition with the cover (due to its color and material) showing some wear. Overall there is no moisture damage, no cutouts, no torn or missing pages and most of the writing is confined to the back of the book. The pages in the Junior year section show finger marks at the edge as evidence of having been looked at many times. None of the many pages with Larry's photos has any defect. As previously noted, Larry appears on the cover and then shows up with a large, clear posed individual Senior head photo. The Senior section is followed by a group of baby and "kiddie" pictures, and although not labeled, it is apparent that Larry is shown in his 2nd or 3rd. Grade posed head photo. What follows is a total of 8 photos (candid, action and many individual including one 1/2 pager) spread over 6 pages (including one "Tribute" page) of Larry related to his high school basketball exploits (All-State) and those of the team (which was Sectional Champion); later Bird would win 3 consecutive NBA MVPs marking him as one of the all-time greats. This would certainly be a nice book to have sitting in between your Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson high school yearbooks!
