The book itself is in near mint condition with only one material defect. The centerfold photo is of the Championship Football team and at one time someone must have attempted to cut that photo out of the book. It has been taped back in place, quite neatly, and the tape does not come anywhere near Joe's photo on the team or his individual photo in the football section. The cover and binding are excellent, the only writing in the book is on the inside front cover. There are no cutouts, no torn or missing pages and no moisture damage. It would be less than 8 years later that Joe would lead the Jets to the first AFL Super Bowl victory and be chosen for the Hickock Award in 1969 as Athlete of the Year!
