Outstanding wool jacket worn by Johnny Davies as a member of the Mayaguez Indians of Puerto Rico. Burgundy body is detailed with yellow stripping on cuffs and collar. Inside is his nickname in vintage pen “Davie.” The front pocket secretly hides the Tim McAuliffe label who likely supplied them with the beautifully embroidered Indian head patch, whose design they stole from the Cleveland Indians. “India” is on the back in yellow felt lettering. Obtained directly from the family of Johnny Davis. VG. Snaps are rusted and wear to bright yellow lining but the patch and body are nice.
