The 1975 World Series was the setting for Carlton Fisk’s most famous homerun in history, making him the most popular catcher of all time. But it wasn’t until he hit home run number 328, in the 1990 regular season off of Texas Rangers’ Charlie Hough, that he surpassed Johnny Bench as the all time HR leader as a catcher. With that single feat on August 17, 1990, Fisk would also become the Chicago White Sox all-time HR leader. OAL (Brown) baseball was used in that milestone game, and is signed proudly on the sweet spot in blue ink, “Carlton Fisk HR #328 - 8/17/90.” Virtually no bleeding or fading to this commanding signature. Grades a “9” out of a possible 10. Ball itself shows nice use from that historic game with rubbed in stadium dirt. LOA from the umpire who called the game.
