Originally born into the AAGPL in 1948, the Chicago Colleens and Springfield Sallies lost their franchise two short seasons later and began touring the country. Together they played in exhibition games searching for new talent until they were forced to fold in 1952. Originally obtained during those few touring years these fantastic felt pennants have remained in EX-MT condition. Both display bold color and own screen lettering and images that are free of crazing. The accompanying team pins (1.25”) are affixed with satin ribbon and dangling gold metal baseball charms. EX. The unique and short lived history of the teams has made these items especially rare and desirable.
