An amazing cache of 24 typed and annotated, original "Monty Pythons Flying Circus" TV scripts from the private collection of founding member Graham Chapman. The collection spans the historic, first three seasons of "Monty Pythons Flying Circus" and includes the first episode "Whither Canada?" with the Python's original name "Bunn Wackett Buzzard Stubble and Poot". Aside from the many unforgettable sketches found within, are Chapman's handwritten doodles, grocery lists, telephone numbers, signatures, threats, and stage notes found scribbled in the margins, on the backs, 'round the sides, and on the title pages. Inside are also many sketches that were written--but never seen--in the Python TV series. This was usually due of 3 factors: a lack of time to film the material, second (or third) thoughts about the material in general, and the fact that some of sketches were filmed, but edited out of the final programmes. Graham Chapman signed his name on the title page of numerous scripts, specifically due to the fact that the Python's had a habit of "nicking" one anothers scripts (you'll also notice Graham nicked one or two himself, Michael Palin and Carol Cleveland, specifically)! A truly unique offering representing some the most important comedy of the 20th Century. From the personal archives of Graham Chapman.
