Presented is a Sandy Koufax signed Perez-Steele Greatest Moments card. The Greatest Moments cards feature the artwork of Dick Perez, and the Greatest Moments set was created from 1985-95 and it consists of 108 cards. The card measures 5.75x8". On front is a colorful image of Koufax, a Hall of Fame left-hander, on the mound at Ebbets Field. In back of Koufax is the image of the right field wall and screen and the right center field scoreboard. In a yellow "banner" near the bottom of the front of the card is "SANDY KOUFAX." Each corner of the card has a small hole that was used to pin the card on a wall or display. The card back has a brief bio of Koufax and also states his greatest moments - his four no-hitters.
Koufax pitched 11 Major League seasons for the Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers. His final five seasons were incredible. In those years he averaged 22.2 wins a year and won the NL ERA Crown each season. Koufax was a 3-time Cy Young winner and won three pitching Triple Crowns.
Koufax, nicknamed "The Left Hand of God," signed the card in large, neatly written script, with a fine tip black marker. The card is in EXCELLENT condition, and on back, the card is machine-marked "2166/5,000."
