Seeing Hall of Famer Michael Jordan depicted in a No. 45 jersey instead of his usual No. 23 jersey can rivet the attention of any basketball fan. Presented is a Michael Jordan signed, hand-painted, No. 45 Chicago Bulls jersey, with beautiful, original, signed 1/1 artwork by Jolene Jessie. After the Chicago Bulls' first three-peat (1990-91 to 1992-93), and the murder of his father in July 1993, Michael Jordan decided to retire from basketball and pursue baseball, with the former high school baseball star beginning pro baseball with the Double-A Birmingham Barons, a farm team of the Chicago White Sox. He played the 1994 season with Birmingham, playing outfield. He batted .202, with three home runs, 51 RBIs, 51 walks, and 30 steals. In November 1994, Jordan's No.23 jersey was lifted to the rafters at the United Center, and a Jordan statue was placed outside the arena.

Jordan decided to "unretire" and come back to play with the Bulls. In Jordan's autobiography, he states: "When I came back, I didn't want to play in the last number my father saw me wear. Because he wasn't around, I thought of my return as a new beginning." But Jordan only wore the No. 45 jersey for 23 games. In a second-round playoff loss in the opening game of the series against the Orlando, Orlando's Nick Anderson stole the ball from Jordan and scored the crucial basket near the game's conclusion. Afterwards, Anderson said, "No. 45 doesn't explode like No. 23 used to." For the next game, almost assuredly to make a point, Jordan switched back to his No. 23 jersey and dropped 38 points against the Magic in a 104-94 Chicago win. Although Chicago lost the series in six games, Jordan had definitively made his point. No. 23 was back! Soon Jordan would lead the Bulls to the team's second three-peat (1995-96 to 1997-98).

The white mesh jersey has red, white, and black trim. Across the chest is "BULLS" in sewn-on red letters with black trim and a separate NBA logo tag. Below the team's name is "45" in sewn-on red numerals with black trim. On the lower left front tail is a Chicago Bulls tag showing size "52," and a separate NBA logo tag. Below the size tag is a Nike manufacturer's tag which reads, "Michael Jordan 1984/Nike flight 8403." On back is "JORDAN" in red letters with black trim. Below that is "45" in red numerals with black trim. There are three colorful images of Jordan in the areas around the No. 45, in sewn-on red numerals with black trim. Each image shows Jordan, his "trademark" tongue hanging out of his mouth, and about to apparently make a drive, a jump shot, and a dunk. Jordan has neatly signed the numeral "4" using a fine tip black marker. The No. 4 also has an Upper Deck sticker (ESP 01035). The artist has signed in red as "Jessie" and added "1/1," also in red. The jersey is in EXCELLENT condition, and with Jordan's signature, plus the signature of the artist, the No. 45 jersey makes an unusual remembrance of the player many consider pro basketball's G.O.A.T. The offering comes with a UDA COA (ESP 01035).
