A glove used by slick fielding Baltimore Orioles shortstop Mark Belanger during the 1970s. The natural colored Rawlings glove is deeply broken in and shows nice use throughout with significant fading on the palm. Belanger's number 7 is written in marker by the wrist. The shortstop broke in with the Orioles in 1965 and would remain with the team until 1981. He was awarded eight Gold Gloves, made the All-Star game in 1976, and won a World Series Championship in 1970. Belanger, who is a member of the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame, died in 1998 after a battle with lung cancer.
