Christmas card signed on the interior by Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young. Young has inscribed the card to "Mr. Harry Mabell Barton From Cy." Both the inscription and signature are scripted in blue ink and grade 9/10. Signed Christmas cards by Major League players, especially Hall of Famers, are scarce. This example, as well as several others in this auction, all originate from the same consignor, whose husband spent decades amassing one of the largest such collections we have ever seen. The fold-over card (4.25x5"; folded) remains in Excellent to Mint condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope (5.25x4.5"; EX), postmarked "Dec 14 1942." Full LOA from PSA.
