1980 Larry Bird rookie-era signed newspaper photograph. Larry Bird is pictured smiling in front of the Celtics logo in this 5.25x7.25" photo that has been cut out of a newspaper. Bird signed the photo with a blue ballpoint pen, and he included, "Best Wishes" above his name. Below the photo of Bird is a caption that reads, "Top Rookie: Larry Bird, the high-flying rookie forward of the NBA Boston Celtics, was named UPI Rookie of the Year today. Bird anchored the Indiana State team that nearly won the NCAA championship in 1979, then transformed the Celtics from league doormats into strong contenders." The photo is in very good condition and is a great example of an early Bird signature.
