New York Yankees ticket stub issued for a game against the Boston Red Sox on September 30, 1956, in which Mickey Mantle clinched the Triple Crown. Graded VG-EX 4. This is one of only two examples of this ticket stub graded at this level by PSA, with just one graded higher. It is also one of just five listed in the PSA Population Report. Mantle appeared as a pinch hitter in the game, which was the final game of the season for the Yankees. Batting for pitcher Jim Coates in the bottom of the ninth inning, Mantle drove in Jerry Lumpe with the tying run on a ground out to short (the Yankees eventually won the game 7-4 in ten innings). The RBI was his 130th of the season, which was two more than runner up Al Kaline in that category. Mantle also easily edged out Ted Williams for the batting title and Vic Wert for the home run crown, thereby clinching the 1956 Triple Crown and locking up the first of his two consecutive MVP Awards. 1.5x2.75".
