1973 George Foreman vs. Joe Frazier fight poster. All the details are printed on this vintage fight poster (22x24"), including: "World Heavyweight Championship," "Joe Frazier, Undefeated Champion, vs. George Foreman, Undefeated Challenger," "January 22, Jamaica, National Stadium." Foreman and Frazier are featured in intimidating fight poses beneath what looks like the sun going down, under the words "The Sunshine Showdown" at the top of the poster. The poster is blank on the back except for some pieces of original tape, evidence that this poster was likely hung in a public setting like a bus stop, or a bar, to promote the fight. The yellowish tan poster is printed on thick cardboard stock paper, and it is attached to a thicker, white piece of cardboard stock paper. There are some small tears and creases on the surface of the poster, and there is evidence of water damage at the bottom of the poster. Foreman dominated Frazier in the much-anticipated fight. He knocked the champion down six times, and scored a technical knockout in the second round.
