Enormous collection of 1,089 Dixie lids spanning the years 1930 to 1954, including many duplicates. Starting in 1930 and every year through 1954, Dixie Brand ice cream issued cups with pictures of popular themes on their lids. Though movie stars were usually the main attraction, the company also issued sets of baseball players, several war-themed sets during the WWII years, and sets with both a circus and nature theme. Lids can be found for many different companies, resulting in thousands of variations. While it’s probably impossible to assemble a complete collection of lids and collectibles with all ice cream maker variations, this collection makes for a solid foundation for anyone wishing to compile a basic complete run. For each listing, many duplicates are included. Condition ranges from Poor to Excellent, averaging Fair to Good. Nearly all the lids are complete with their original tabs

The collection consists of the following: 1930-31 Circus Series (52 total; all 2.25" diameter); 1932 Nature (13 total; all 2.25" diameter); 1941 Defend America (12 total; 7 are 2.25" diameter and 5 are 2.75" diameter); 1942 America's Fighting Forces (34 total; 33 are 2.25" diameter and 1 is 2.75"); 1943 America Attacks (4 total; all 2.25" diameter); 1944-45 United Nations at War (25 total; 19 are 2.25" diameter and 6 are 2.75 diameter); 1933-1954 Movie Stars (949 total; 681 are 2.25" diameter and 268 are 2.75" diameter). A few miscellaneous lids complete the collection, including a few larger 3.25" lids and modern issues.
