An acoustic guitar used in the studio by rock and roll icon Bruce Springsteen during the 1980s. The Martin guitar is a D35 and was made around 1971. The item features nice signs of wear with lacquer cracks and pick scratches. The guitar is in a dreadnaught shape and features steel guitar strings. This specific model has been a favorite of Springsteen's for decades. He had largely written his first two albums, Greetings from Asbury Park, and The Wild, the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle on a Martin D-35. The lot also features the guitar's original green plastic carrying case. Also included in the lot is a large photo of Springsteen playing a Martin guitar though it is not the exact one in the lot. Springsteen has enjoyed one of the longest and most successful careers in rock history, selling more than 140 million albums and playing to sold out crowds for decades.
