A 1919 ticket from the Saratoga Cup and the Hopeful Stakes, which featured famed horse Man O' War, then in his rookie season. Exterminator, the winner of the 1918 Kentucky Derby, would win the Saratoga Cup and the soon to be iconic Man O' War would win the Hopeful Stakes before later winning the 1920 Preakness and Belmont Stakes. This is the oldest known example of a Man O' War ticket and the only ticket from his rookie season. The ticket has been authenticated, encapsulated and graded by PSA who has assigned a grade of 2 (MK). An iconic horse, Man O' War would win 20 out of his 21 starts and may have won the 1920 Triple Crown, but his owner, Samuel Riddle, did not want him racing at that distance. This winning ticket is a rare and impressive piece of horse racing history.
