Dan Bankhead Major League Baseball debut ticket stub. A ticket from the August 26, 1947, game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Brooklyn Dodgers. On this date, Dan Bankhead made his MLB debut and became the first African American player to pitch in an MLB game. Bankhead entered the game as a relief pitcher in the top of the second inning. In the bottom of the second inning, he hit a home run. This seldom-seen ticket has been graded Good 2 by PSA. The ticket measures 1.25x2.75".
