Presented is a John Hannah signed Alabama University Historic Suspension Helmet replica, with an incredible 13 inscriptions. Hannah was a 2-time All-American guard under coach Bear Bryant at Alabama. Hannah was a three-sport star in college: An SEC Champion wrestler, an SEC record holder in the discus and shot put, as well as a great offensive lineman, of whom Bryant said, "[Hannah was] the best offensive lineman I've ever been around." In the NFL, Hannah was a New England Patriot for 13 seasons, his entire career. He was a 9-time Pro Bowler and a member of the NFL's 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. At 6'2", 265 lbs., Hannah was not overly big for an offensive lineman, but he was very fast, really quick and incredibly motivated. He missed only five games out of a possible 191 contests during his pro career. He is a member of both the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The maroon helmet has a white stripe down the middle and white "73" numerals on each side. The helmet has a two-bar cage. On back and outside is a PSA Certification number (AN54962). It also comes with a PSA COA (AN54962). It has a white chin strap. On a rear suspension strap is machine stamped, for size, "7 3/8." Another rear suspension strap has a machine stamped "2." On a decal inside the helmet is a notice that the helmet is for "display purposes only and not for use." The helmet was neatly signed and inscribed in white, fine tip marker. After the signature, Hannah crafted one of the world's most inclusive list of detailed inscriptions: "Right Guard, Bama 70-72, 3 Year Starter, 71 1st Team AA, 72 Consensus AA, 71-72 SEC Champs, SEC All Century, Bama All Century, Bama 70's All Decade, CHOF 99, Roll Tide!
