Scarce sterling silver pendant issued by the Philadelphia Phillies to commemorate the club's 1950 National League Championship season. This is one of just a few examples of this pendant we have seen and just the second we have ever offered. The design features a representation of a baseball set upon a red stone. The lettering around the bezel reads "Phillies Whiz Kids NL Champions." Manufactured by Balfour, as noted by the engraving on the reverse that reads "LGB Sterling." Accompanied by a modern-day chain. A rare souvenir dating from one of the most memorable seasons in Phillies franchise history.
