1951 Bowman Baseball #305 Willie Mays Rookie card. Graded NM 7 by PSA. This is an outstanding high-grade example of one of the hobby's most important post-war baseball issues. It should be noted that of the 2,164 examples of this card graded by PSA, only 122 have been graded NM7, with just 88 graded higher (no PSA Gem MINT 10 grades have ever been obtained for this card). This card originates from the mid-to-high-grade 1951 Bowman Baseball near-complete set being offered in this auction. That set was compiled by our consignor's father during his childhood and it has remained in the family, nearly untouched, since that time. A fabulous Mays rookie offering and one that would be a welcome addition to any advanced 1951 Bowman or Hall of Fame rookie-card collection.
