1982 Moscow Tour Book was signed by the legendary Wayne Gretzky and his family, among others, during Gretzky's famed visit as a guest of Vladimir Tretiak in the Summer of '82. Tretiak invited Gretzky and his family in what ended up being a well documented six-day trip to Russia. Tretiak hosted the Gretzky family at his home, hosted dinner and showed them around the capital city. Hardcover English-language book measuring 5x8" is simply titled, "Moscow," and spans roughly 200 pages, including many photos.
Signatures on the title page include Wayne; siblings Keith, Kim, Glen, and Brent; and parents Walter and Phyllis. Other signatures include Betty Hokin (Gretzky's grandmother), Robert Crone (legendary broadcaster), Eric Goddard (film editor), Janine and Charlie Henry (best friend of Walter Gretzky), and others.
This book originates from that Cold War era visit; the home ice advantage proved enough for the USSR squad to capture the Gold Medal despite Gretzky leading the tourney in scoring, with Team Canada settling for a 3rd place Bronze Medal finish. Comes with PSA LOA.
