Wade Boggs single-signed baseball with "HOF 05" and "CHICKEN MAN" inscription. Boggs signed the sweet spot of this Official MLB (Selig) ball in blue ink. He added "HOF 05" and "CHICKEN MAN" below his signature. The signature has been graded a 9, and the ball a 10 by PSA, resulting in a 9.5 overall grade. Boggs was known as Chicken Man as he supposedly ate chicken every day. Boggs said, "In 1983, we ate chicken every day and I wound up winning a batting title in '83," Boggs said. "So, the chicken worked." Boggs career spanned from 1982 to 1999. His career batting average of .328 helped him get elected into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2005.
