Yadier Molina was an outstanding catcher who played all of his 19 Major League seasons (2004-22) with the St. Louis Cardinals. Offered is a single-signed Yadier Molina Baseball from his rookie era. Yadier's two older brothers, Bengie and Jose Molina, were also Major League catchers who played a combined 28 Major League seasons and were noted for their defensive expertise. Yadier was a 10-time All-Star who won nine Gold Gloves and holds the All-Time Major League record for putouts by a catcher. When Molina retired following the 2022 season, he was first in active catchers in assists, caught stealing percentage, and pickoffs. A meticulous game planner, Yadier was in essence a coach on the field. In the beginning of his Major League play, the 2-time World Champion was primarily a defensive specialist, he became a fine hitter who batted a lifetime .277, with 2,100 hits and five .300 seasons. Molina used a blue ballpoint pen to sign the sweet spot of the Official Major League Baseball (Budig). The signed ball's signature has been dual-graded by Beckett and JSA as a "9" AUTO. In addition to the plastic stand for the signed ball that reads, in part, "Beckett Grading/JSA "9" AUTO, the ball has an affixed sticker reading, "JSA H62250." The offered ball is in near mint condition.
