New York Knicks uniform, dating from the 1982 to 1984 manufacturing period, worn by star forward/center Bill Cartwright. Graded a perfect A10 by MEARS. The blue mesh jersey is lettered "New York" across the front and features the number "25" on the front and reverse. The name "Cartwright" is lettered on the reverse, directly above the number. All numbers and front lettering are applied in orange on white tackle twill, while all reverse letters are applied in white tackle twill. A "Cosby" label appears in the collar. Located on the left front tail are a "Medalist Sand-Knit 46" label and a second "Sand-Knit" label that reads in part "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the New York Knicks National Basketball Association." The jersey is original as issued and displays moderate wear.

The matching blue mesh shorts feature the number "25" on the right leg and the New York Knicks team logo on the left leg, each applied in orange on white tackle twill. Located in the rear waistband are a "Medalist Sand-Knit 36" label and a second "Sand-Knit" label that reads in part "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the New York Knicks National Basketball Association."

Cartwright, who was the third overall pick in the 1979 NBA draft, starred for the Knicks at center for five seasons before a foot injury sidelined him for basically two full seasons (1984-86). After the Knicks drafted Patrick Ewing, Cartwright was eventually traded to the Chicago Bulls, where he helped lead the club to three consecutive NBA Championships (1991-93).
