The 1968 Major League Baseball season was known as the "Year of the Pitcher," and no pitcher was more dominant than Detroit Tigers ace Denny McLain. McClain won 31 games for the Tigers that year and helped lead the Tigers to the World Series title. The Tigers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series in an exciting 7-game series. McLain and 28 members of the championship team signed this Official American League (Cronin), near-mint condition baseball. Key signatures include Mayo Smith, Al Kaline, Ray Oyler, Norm Cash, Gates Brown, Earl Wilson, Eddie Mathews, Johnny Sain, Mickey Lolich, Willie Horton, and Tony Cuccinello.
