Martinez was in the midst of an incredible string of dominance for the Red Sox during the 2003 season and finished the year with a 14-4 record and a 2.22 ERA. After helping the Red Sox to a World Series Championship in 2004, he signed with the New York Mets. He was inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame in 2015 as a first ballot candidate.
