Curt Shilling was an absolute bulldog during the Boston Red Sox's successful march to the 2004 World Championship, and offered is a 2004 Curt Schilling game used jersey. Schilling a right-hander, pitched for 20 Major League seasons: Baltimore Orioles (1988-90), Houston Astros (1991), Philadelphia Phillies (1992-2000), Arizona Diamondbacks (2000-03), Boston Red Sox (2004-07). He was a 3-time World Champion, in 2001 with the Arizona Diamondbacks and 2004 & 2007 with Boston. Schilling had a 216-146 lifetime record with a 3.46 ERA and 3,116 strikeouts. He was the 2001 World Series MVP, and the 1993 NLCS MVP. In the 2004 season when the offered jersey was game used, Schilling was 21-6, with a 3.26 ERA. Schilling relied mainly on a good fastball, an excellent splitter, and great control. In more recent years he has often been involved in controversial events, involving some of his media statements and having his game manufacturing business fold. The presented jersey is a gray polyester away jersey. Across the chest is "BOSTON" in sewn-on red letters. The left sleeve has a Russell manufacturing patch. Down the jersey front are six silver-gray buttons. On the lower left, outside tail are three tags: MLB AUTHENTIC/RUSSELL ATHLETIC manufacturer's tag; a tag reading, "[size] 52 100% polyester;" a "2004" tag. On the back of the collar is an MLB patch. Below that is "SCHILLING" in sewn-on red letters with navy-blue trim. Below the player's name is "38" in red sewn-on numerals with navy-blue trim. The jersey exhibits light use and it is in EXCELLENT condition.
