Vintage news photograph inscribed by Babe Ruth. PSA has encapsulated the photo and certified the signature as "Authentic." The striking photo captures Ruth at the plate during pregame batting practice in 1935 while several cameramen kneel alongside him capturing the action. Ruth has inscribed the photo in black fountain pen in the lower right: "To John Shepard 3d/Sincerely/Babe Ruth." Both the inscription and signature grade 6/10 overall. A "Thorne" credit stamp appears on the reverse, along with a pair of handwritten notations that consist of Ruth's team affiliation ("Braves") and a descriptive caption that reads "Ruth doing his stuff for the cameras & fans." Ruth played with the Braves only in 1935, which conclusively dates the photo to that year. The photo (7.5x9.5") displays a few light creases and is in Very Good to Excellent condition.
