Displayed is a 2000 New York Yankee World Series celebration photo, with 29 signatures. The Yankees had a regular season record of 87-74 in 2000, winning the AL East Division. In the World Series, the Bronx Bombers defeated the New York Mets in a Subway Series, winning the Fall Classic 4-1 in games. In the Series finale, Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams hit bases-empty home runs for the Yankees, as reliever Mike Stanton took the win, with Mariano Rivera getting the save. Jeter hit .339 that season for the Yankees, and Mariano Rivera had a 7-4 record, with a 2.85 ERA and 36 saves. The World Series celebration photo occurs just moments after Rivera got the final out with the potential tying run on second by making Hall of Famer Mike Piazza fly out to center field. Jeter was the World Series MVP. Signatures were made with a blue marker. Hall of Famers: Jeter, Rivera, Joe Torre (HOF manager), and notables: Roger Clemens, David Cone, Andy Pettitte, Paul O'Neill, Jose Canseco, Luis Polonia, Denny Nagle, Mel Stottlemyre Sr. (coach), Don Zimmer (coach), Willie Randolph (coach), and more. The signed photo measures approx. 15.3x19.4", matted and framed to 23.6x27.75". On the photo front: A Steiner Collection sticker; a World Series 2000 sticker; a World Series emblem; a Photo File imprint. Written in black marker by an unknown hand on front is the limited-edition number: 38/350. The matting exhibits some minor spotting in two places, and the frame has some chipping in a couple of spots, but overall, the item is still in fine condition and displays very well.
