A collection of 10 Cincinnati Red photos, taken near opening day in 1919. The photos measuring 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" were taken by an amateur photographer and would be considered Type I. Some of the players featured in the pictures include Hal Chase, Greasy Neale, Edd Rousch, Tommy Griffith, Ivey Wingo, Heinie Groh, Lena Blackburne, Dutch Reuther, Lee Magee, and Pete Schneider. There is also a team photo as well. The pictures were all taken at Redland Field, which was the name of the home ballpark in Cincinnati until it was renamed Crosley Field in 1970. These 100+ year-old photos are in good condition and an important piece of history for Reds fans.
