This unique display stand was commissioned by our consignor to hold her complete 1956 National League team-signed baseball collection. Each of the eight circular tiers is held aloft by four "baseball bat" supports, with the respective team name engraved on a front mount (Dodgers, Braves, Reds, Giants, Pirates, Cards, Phils, and Cubs). The mount at the top of the display is engraved "National League 1956." The small silver-colored "baseballs" at the top of the display serve as screws, as do the bat supports, so that the display can be completely disassembled to accommodate the balls on their proper tiers. This is a novel and attractive piece that would be perfect for anyone owning a complete 1956 team-signed baseball collection. The stand has moderate wear and is in Very Good condition overall.
